As you are editing databases they end up a bit like Swiss cheese, full of holes! Every now and again you need to compress these holes i.e freeing up space to optimise your tables performance.
I have made a list of steps to follow below should you wish to carry out a file compression: –
- Login to CPanel
- Look for and click on PHPmyadmin
- On the left hand side click the database that you would like to optimise
- Scroll to the bottom and click where it says select all tables with overheads
- In the drop down menu, Select optimise tables
